Living in the heart of Black Mountain has allowed us to experience the many benefits of a small town. Well maintained sidewalks and access to the Black Mountain Greenway make walking downtown to our favorite restaurants easy and enjoyable, as well as Saturday morning walks to take advantage of the fresh produce and meat at our local tailgate market. Lake Tomahawk is also only a short distance away with lighted walking paths and beautiful views. Another benefit to our home’s location is being less than a mile from Montreat’s paved path to Lake Susan, many hiking trails, and well-loved playground. Experiencing the beauty of the Swannanoa Valley is easy to do when you’re within walking distance of both downtown Black Mountain and Montreat.

No matter the season, our spacious backyard and patio allow us to host family and friends with ease. The porch provides the perfect place to grill and the rockwork patio has ample room to enjoy the built-in fire pit. For overnight guests, the half bath in one of bedrooms allows for privacy and a comfortable stay.

The Town of Black Mountain consistently keeps our road well maintained, no matter what the weather may bring. The fire and police department are only a mile away and trash pick-up is on time and consistent. The house is truly a rarity with it’s space and serenity, while being in such a convenient location. We are excited and hopeful that the next owner will maximize what this amazing home and town has to offer, just as we have been lucky enough to do.
